Detail Display Mode

Task area Detailing

You can use this tool to alter how element details are displayed. Details can be displayed in detailing windows only, in the original fileset only, or in both. Allplan sets this property when creating the detailing window. You can also set this property using the Show in Detailing Window Only on/off setting. You can use this tool to modify the assigned setting retroactively.

To alter how element details are displayed

1. Click Detail Display Mode (How).
   

   Activate Detail Display Mode in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Change Views, Sections, Details Detailing

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Detailing

2. In the input options, select the status you want to assign to the elements:
   • Normal: displays elements in both; any assignments are revoked.
   • Detail: displays elements in detailing windows only.
   • Orig: displays elements in the original fileset only.
3. Select the elements whose status you want to change.
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a selection rectangle, hold down the left mouse button and open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select.
   • Some tools allow you to select all elements in the current document by clicking All in the input options or pressing CTRL+A.

   When selecting elements, you can use filters, which allow you to filter by element type or property. For more information, see Using filters.

Note: Using Show in Detailing Window Only on/off (How), you can configure the system to draw new elements in the detailing window only.
