You can use this tool to resize elements.
To resize elements based on factors
- Click
Resize (How). - Click Factor in the Input Options.
- the elements you want to resize.
- Place a fixed point.
- Enter the resizing factor in one of the following ways:
- Enter the factor in the dialog line and press Enter to confirm (factors < 1 reduce the elements while factors > 1 enlarge them).
- Specify the factor using the mouse (from point, to point).
Example
To resize elements based on a reference length
- Click
Resize (How). - Click Ref length in the Input Options.
- the elements you want to resize.
- Place a fixed point.
The next two steps involve defining the reference length and the new length.
The program calculates the resizing factor based on the ratio of new length to reference length. All dimensions of the selected elements are multiplied by this factor.
- Enter the reference length in one of the following ways:
- Click the start and end point of the line.
- Enter the reference length as a number in the dialog line and press ENTER to confirm.
