Inserting a roofscape in a plane model
To insert a roofscape in a plane model
- You have already created a roofscape (consisting of a roof frame and custom reference planes) in a separate drawing file or document.
- Click
Open on a Project-Specific Basis and select the Building structure tab. - Click
Floor Manager in the Open on a project-specific basis: drawing files from fileset/building structure dialog box. - Select the structural node to which you want to add the roofscape.
- Click
Insert roofscape in the lower part of the Floor Manager dialog box.Tip: As an alternative, you can also use
Insert or replace roofscape in the Planes palette to add a roofscape in the current drawing file to the plane model.
- In the Match roofscape from document area in the Insert roofscape dialog box, select the source which was used to create the relevant roofscape:
From drawing file
From NDW file
- Select the relevant file and click OK twice to confirm.
- Specify how the roofscape is to be inserted in the current plane model:
- Do not change roofscape (compared with source).
- The bottom level of the roofscape is equivalent to the bottom of the story; top levels are retained.
- The roofscape as a whole is moved to the height of the bottom of the story.
- Click OK to confirm.
The roofscape is inserted under the selected node and displayed in the graphics.
- Click OK to close Floor Manager.
