Inserting a roofscape in a plane model

To insert a roofscape in a plane model

• You have already created a roofscape (consisting of a roof frame and custom reference planes) in a separate drawing file or document.

1. Click Open on a Project-Specific Basis and select the Building structure tab.
2. Click Floor Manager in the Open on a project-specific basis: drawing files from fileset/building structure dialog box.
3. Select the structural node to which you want to add the roofscape.
4. Click Insert roofscape in the lower part of the Floor Manager dialog box.

   Tip: As an alternative, you can also use Insert or replace roofscape in the Planes palette to add a roofscape in the current drawing file to the plane model.

5. In the Match roofscape from document area in the Insert roofscape dialog box, select the source which was used to create the relevant roofscape:
   • From drawing file
   • From NDW file
6. Select the relevant file and click OK twice to confirm.
7. Specify how the roofscape is to be inserted in the current plane model:
   • Do not change roofscape (compared with source).
   • The bottom level of the roofscape is equivalent to the bottom of the story; top levels are retained.
   • The roofscape as a whole is moved to the height of the bottom of the story.
8. Click OK to confirm.

   The roofscape is inserted under the selected node and displayed in the graphics.

9. Click OK to close Floor Manager.
