Polyline edit mode

When you select Delete Segment of Line and click a polyline, you can use the Input Options to specify whether you want to edit the entire polyline or only the element clicked.

Part of element

You only edit the part clicked.
If From point or To point is not on the segment, the program drops a perpendicular to the segment.

Entire element

You edit the entire polyline.
