Show Clipping Path
Task area Sections
You can use this tool to display the section object of a section with or without the clipping path in a view or section. You can use this tool to check which elements will be included in the section.
If the view or section already includes the section object, this section object is not visible.
To display the section object with or without the clipping path
- Use the
Modify Clipping Path tool to select the section object which you want to display with or without the clipping path in a different view or section.
- Click
Show Clipping Path (How). - Click the section object you want to display with or without the clipping path.
If the model data only include the clipping path without the section object, you can also click the clipping path. - Click the view or section in which you want to display the section object with or without the clipping path.
If the viewing direction of the view or section clicked is perpendicular to the plane of the clipping path, the program cannot create a clipping path.
Notes:
- When you create sections, you can always display the section object, regardless of the setting in the
Clipping Path tool. This allows you to modify the clipping path directly. - Whether the clipping path is visible when you show the section object depends on the corresponding setting in the
Clipping Path tool. - Using the
Remove/add elements tool, you can show or hide neither the section object nor the clipping path. - You can use the
Delete tool to remove the clipping path from individual views or sections. - If the view or section clicked already includes the section object, this section object is not visible.
