Area Reinforcement: Span Reinforcement

Tool(s): Enter Area Reinforcement

To create span reinforcement as area reinforcement

1. Click Enter Area Reinforcement (How). On the context toolbar, select Span Reinforcement
   

   Activate Enter Area Reinforcement in one of the following ways

   • Actionbar:Role Engineering Task Reinforcement Task area Bar reinforcement

   • Menu bar: Create Engineering Bar Reinforcement

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Bar Reinforcement

2. Enter the shell outline polygon or click Copy in the input options to use an existing shell.
   

   1. Click the first point of the outline polygon in the workspace.
   2. Click the second point of the outline polygon in the workspace.
   3. Click additional points if required.
   4. Close the polygon.

   With every point you enter you can change the support depth manually.

3. If you work in Reinforce with 3D model mode and you have not created the outline polygon in an existing view, you need to select an existing view to which you want to add the span reinforcement.

   Note: If views are not defined, you cannot create span reinforcement.

4. Modify the outline polygon using the tools on the context toolbar and define the location of the placement in space so as to establish the relationship (offset) between the defined spatial plane and the placement (with Reinforce with 3D model only).
5. Click OK to confirm the settings.
6. Enter settings for the general placing parameters.
7. Click OK to confirm the settings.
