“Import attribute values” dialog box (attributes, quantity data)

Tools: Import Attributes + Import Quantities Data

You can use the Import attribute values dialog box to select the attribute values you want to import to the project after you have changed these attribute values in the XAC file or XLSX file that you created with Export Attributes or Export Quantities Data.

Click a line to display the object in the selection color in Allplan. By default, this dialog box shows only attribute values that have changed and that can be imported to Allplan. To display all other attribute values, you can use the options in the lower-left corner of the dialog box.

Filter

Filter in object type

Filters the names in the Object type column based on the characters entered.

Grouping

Defines the grouping in the Object type column. Select Grouping off to sort the object types alphabetically. When you select Grouping according to object type and ID or Grouping according to attribute, you can use the small triangle above the Object type column to show or hide detailed information.

Columns

Object type

Shows the object type.

Component ID

Shows the component ID.

Attribute

Shows the attribute name.

Current value

Shows the current attribute value in the Allplan project.

Import value

Shows the (changed) attribute value in the XAC file or XLSX file.

Import

Activate or deactivate the attribute values you want to import. This overwrites the current attribute values in the Allplan project.

Shows notes on the attribute values.

Show attribute values that cannot be imported

Select this option to display the attribute values that cannot be imported. The Note column tells you why the attribute value cannot be imported.
