Carpet Reinforcement: Placing Parameters for Secondary Reinforcement

You can change the parameter settings for the placement as you need.
Some of the parameters are mutually dependent i.e., changing one setting may cause another to update accordingly. The following parameters are available:

Choose from one of the following options:

This defines the point of transport relative to the crosshairs.

Use this to enter the distance between the cross-hairs and the Reference point in the x or y direction.

You can define a point at which the preview is attached to the cross-hairs and lock it.

Click a point in the workspace to position the preview.
Click the reference point in the workspace . This is now the new point at which the preview is attached to the cross-hairs.

Use this to enter the length of the bars to be placed. Three options are provided:

Enter the value manually.
Click the edge of a component or a bar to adopt the length of the line clicked.
click points to define the start and end of the bar. This approach also defines the placing angle.

Note: The bar length cannot be entered in the Basic Carpet Reinforcement, Carpet Span Reinforcement and Mounting Strips tools. The length is equivalent to that of the region in which placing occurs.

Use this to define the placing angle for the unroll direction.

You can:

Enter the value manually.
click an existing line to use its angle of inclination relative to the horizontal position or
click points to use the angle defined by the imaginary slope between these points relative to the horizontal position.

Use this to enter the reinforcement percentage for the entire placement as bar cross-sectional area per meter.

Note: This parameter is not available in the Basic Carpet Reinforcement, Span Reinforcement and Mounting Strips tools in the BAMTEC task area.

Use this to define the line type for the bars when they are displayed on-screen. Select one of the line types presented in the dialog box.

This button is only available when Reinforce with 3D model is not active.
Use this to define whether the number of bars generated by the placement are to be added or ignored.

Note: Number of layers, Place in polygon, place per meter and Bar display are not available in this tool in the BAMTEC task area.
