Carpet Reinforcement: Placement Parameters for Basic Carpet Reinforcement, Carpet Span Reinforcement and Mounting Strips

You can change the parameter settings for the placement as you need.
Some of the parameters are mutually dependent i.e., changing one setting may cause another to update accordingly. The following parameters are available:

Use this to define the placing angle for the unroll direction.

You can:

Enter the value manually.
click an existing line to use its angle of inclination relative to the horizontal position or
click points to use the angle defined by the imaginary slope between these points relative to the horizontal position.

Use this to define the distance between the outer bars in the placement and the edge of the placing polygon. The following options are provided:

- sets up the outer bars so that they are flush with the starting edge
- sets the outer bars at a distance you define from the starting edge
- sets up the outer bars so that the distance between and the starting and final edges is identical
- sets the outer bars at a distance you define from the final edge
- sets up the outer bars so that they are flush with the final edge
Offset to Starting Edge - enter the distance between the outer bars and the starting edge
Offset to Final Edge - enter the distance between the outer bars and the final edge

Use this to define the line type for the bars when they are displayed on-screen. Select one of the line types presented in the dialog box.

You can enter the number of the congruent bar layers placed one upon the other.

Note: This parameter is not available in the Secondary Carpet Reinforcement tool in the BAMTEC task area.

Use this to define the benching mode within the placing polygon. The following options are provided:

Click No Benching to fit all the bars in the placing polygon without benching. This setting is represented in the toolbar by the icon.
Click Horizontal Benching and then the data entry field below to enter a horizontal benching value. This setting is represented in the toolbar by the icon.
Click Vertical Benching and then the data entry field below to enter a vertical benching value. This setting is represented in the toolbar by the icon.

Note:

Bar length,

Reinforcement percentage and

Longitudinal overlap are not available in these tools in the BAMTEC task area.

For the spacing and the mounting strip offset to the edge at the beginning, the machine values should be observed.
