Using filters

Filters help you select elements. The tools for filtering become active when the program expects you to select elements - after selecting an edit tool, for example.

Using filters, you can restrict selection to specific types of elements or to just elements with specific properties. In addition, you can match the filter criteria from an existing element and specify which elements are affected by selection rectangles.
