Fillet Edge

Task area 3D Objects

You can use this tool to fillet some or all edges of a 3D solid by entering a radius.

To fillet the edges of a solid

1. Click Fillet Edge (How).
   

   Activate Fillet Edge in one of the following ways

   • Actionbar:Role Draft Task Modeling Task area 3D Objects

   • Menu bar: Create Bonus Tools 3D Modeling

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   3D Modeling

2. Define the parameters:
   • Enter the fillet Radius.
   • Select the Connecting edges option to fillet curves and their tangential extension lines together.
   • Select the All edges option to fillet all edges in a single step.
3. Click the solid you want to edit.

   

   Allplan displays the solid in construction line color.

4. Specify which edges you want to fillet:
   • Click the edges you want to fillet one after the other in isometric view.
   • If you have selected Connecting edges and click a curve, Allplan also fillets the tangential extension lines of the curve.
   • If you have selected All edges, Allplan fillets all edges at once.

     Allplan displays a preview of the resulting solid.

5. You can now change the fillet Radius using the handles or by entering a value. This change applies to all the edges you have selected.

   

6. After you have set all options, press ESC.

   Allplan saves the solid.
