  1. Click Extrude (How).
  2. Using the context toolbar, you can specify how the extruded solid behaves:
  3. Use the Extrude Context toolbar to select the outline you want to enter:
  4. Click the reference surface where you want to draw the outline.
The selection preview shows the local x-direction, y-direction and z-direction of the selected surface (work plane).
  5. Draw the outline in the same way as you would draw a 3D Line or 3D Surface.
  6. To extrude the outline, move the crosshairs into the required direction and click the end point. Use the viewport with the view that works best for you.

    Or

Enter the Length in the dialog line and select the Enter key to confirm.
The value applies to the local coordinate system of the selected surface.

Note: The Length must not be less than 1 mm.

Note: The extrusion path is always perpendicular to the reference surface.

    Allplan extrudes the outline.

Note: When you use polygonal elements as initial elements, Allplan creates polygonal 3D objects if this is possible. When you use initial elements with curves, Allplan creates general 3D objects (BREPs, NURBS).
