Using print profiles
Using print profiles
When printing layouts or creating PDF files, you can use a print profile to give a uniform look-and-feel to your layouts.
To use print profiles
- Click
Print Layouts (How). - Select the Print profile tab.
- Select the Use print profile check box or click the button to the right.
- Select the print profile file you want to use.
Notes:
- In the Open on a project-specific basis: layouts dialog box, you can use the shortcut menu to assign a print profile from any path to several selected layouts.
- The program saves the print profile together with the layout and automatically selects this print profile the next time you open the layout. You can temporarily change the settings of the print profile for a single print operation.
- When you print multiple layouts, the print profile you select here and any temporary changes you make apply to the current layout only. Allplan saves the print profile without the changes. Layouts with print profiles always print with their print profiles. Allplan uses the global settings for layouts without print profiles.
To use print profiles for creating PDF files
- Click
Export PDF Data (How) in Layout Editor. - Select the layouts using the Layout structure in the Select layouts dialog box. Then click OK to confirm.
- In the Export PDF Data dialog box, select the Use print profile check box.
- Click the button to the right and select the print profile file you want to use.
Note: The print profile you select here has a higher priority than print profiles saved directly in the layout; therefore, the program uses this print profile for all PDF files created in multiple printout mode. Allplan saves the print profile set to the favorite file so that you can also use the print profile in
Allplan Exchange Layout Distribution.
