Chamfer by specifying distance

Tool(s): Chamfer

To chamfer the angle between elements by specifying a distance

1. Click Chamfer (How).
   

   Activate Chamfer in one of the following ways

   • Actionbar:Change task area
   • Actionbar:Role Draft Task Design Task area 2D Objects

   • Menu bar: Change Draft and Change Advanced Draft and Change 3D Modeling

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Draft

   Advanced Draft

   3D Modeling

2. Click the elements.
3. Enter the chamfer width (by clicking a point or entering a numeric value). The chamfer width is the distance between the point where the two elements intersect to the point of intersection of the element with the chamfer.
   Allplan shortens or lengthens the two elements as far as the chamfer.
