‘Library’ palette - SmartParts
Open the Library palette and use the Filter to hide all other library elements. Select a SmartPart in one of the folders and place the SmartPart in the workspace.
To select SmartParts in the library palette
If you want to see SmartParts only, click Filter and hide Symbols, Smart symbols and PythonParts.
Tip: Use Find to scan the current folder for specific SmartParts.
Note: SmartParts are easy to identify; just look at the symbol.
Note: Use View in the Preview to set a view for the preview. This view is independent of the view set in the viewport.
The SmartPart is attached to the crosshairs.
You can use the palette or the handles to change the properties of SmartParts. If the format properties are not defined in the SmartPart itself, Allplan uses the settings defined in the Properties palette.
A copy of the SmartPart you selected last is attached to the crosshairs.
Note: When you make changes (size, surface color and so on) in the dialog box while placing a SmartPart, Allplan saves these changes and uses them the next time you select this SmartPart. The changed settings are saved as *.smv files in the temporary folder of the user. This is usually the ...\Users\Windows_username\AppData\Local\Nemetschek\Allplan\2020\tmp folder. You can delete the default settings manually or using the cleanstd hotline tool in the Services application.
Note: Double-click a SmartPart or select Properties on the shortcut menu to modify existing SmartParts using dialog boxes and handles.
