You can use this tool to export the parameters of a SmartPart to an XML file (*.smx). This XML file can be edited in external programs. Using SmartPart XML Import you can re-import the modified parameters to the SmartPart.

To export the parameters of a SmartPart to an XML file

1. Click SmartPart XML Export (How).
   

   Activate SmartPart XML Export in one of the following ways

   • Actionbar:Role Draft Task Teamwork Task area Export

   • Menu bar: Tools Customize User Interface More tools with icons
2. Select the SmartPart whose parameters you want to export.
3. Select the parameters to be exported in the dialog box.
4. Specify the folder and name for the XML file and click OK.
