Color stands for pen
Use this to activate the Color stands for pen option. For more information, see Rules defining how elements look on screen.
Thick line
When you select this option, lines are drawn with their actual extents on screen. Otherwise, lines are drawn with the same, thin line.
Note: You can configure whether the thick line is to have a constant or real thickness in the
Options, Desktop environment, Display page, Display area.
Use color 1 for all elements
When you select this option, all elements appear in color 1 on the screen. For more information, see Rules defining how elements look on screen.
Colored reinforcement in plan view
When you select this option, the settings for engineering elements defined in the
Options also apply to bar reinforcement and mesh reinforcement displayed in
Plan using the Wireframe view type. In addition, layouts also use these settings. Generally, Allplan uses the settings on the Reinforcement - Representation page - Bar reinforcement area for plan display.
Note: If Color stands for pen or Use color 1 for all elements is selected, this option has no effect on the representation.
2D elements in 3D views
When you select this option, 2D elements and 3D elements are visible in 3D views. They cannot, however, be edited in this view.
Boundaries of surface elements, bitmaps
When you select this option, the boundaries of surface elements (hatching, patterns, fills) and bitmap images are displayed (as construction lines). When you disable this option, the boundaries of these areas are not displayed.
Surface elements in background
When you select this option, surface elements are always displayed behind other elements, regardless of their priority rating set for the display.
Scanned images on top
Select this option if you want scanned images to appear in the foreground, in front of the other design elements.
Construction line
When you select this option, elements drawn as construction lines are displayed on screen.
Center of circle
When you select this option, centers of circles and ellipses are displayed on the screen.
B-spline control point
When you select this option, control points of B-splines are displayed on the screen.
Element control symbol, Element direction symbol
When you select this option, element control symbols and element direction symbols are displayed on the screen. You can also switch on element markers in the
Options - Desktop environment - Display, where you can also define the size of the symbols.
Text, dimension line, hatching, pattern, fill/filled line, bitmap area, style area, pattern line, scanned image, smart symbol foil A/ B/ C
When you deactivate these options, the elements in question are not displayed on the screen. This can speed up refresh operations. Invisible elements cannot be modified.
XRef
When you select this option, the contents of XRefs are displayed. When you disable this option, you can only see the frame of an XRef.
XRef border
When you select this option, you can only see the borders of XRefs.
Component number
When you select this option, the component number is displayed.
Content of layout element
This option is only available in the Layout Editor task.
When you select this option, the contents of layout elements are visible in layouts. When you disable this option, you can only see the borders of layout elements. This makes your computer much faster.
Layout element/window border
This option is only available in the Layout Editor task.
When you select this option, the boundaries of layout elements and layout windows are visible in layouts.
Border of printable area
This option is only available in the Layout Editor task.
When you select this option, the maximum printable area of the current output device (including the device margins) is displayed as a black line. These boundaries are defined by the output device and cannot be changed.
