Modify Mark Symbol Shape

Task area Key Plan

You can use this tool to modify the span direction, the mark symbol shape and additional text, if any.
If there is no additional text or leader, then you can create these later.

To modify a mark symbol shape

1. Click Modify Mark Symbol Shape (How).
   

   Activate Modify Mark Symbol Shape in one of the following ways

   • Actionbar:Role Engineering Task Structural Analysis Task area Key Plan

   • Menu bar: Change Engineering Key Plan

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Key Plan

2. Click an icon on the Modify Mark Symbol Shape Context toolbar for the static direction of load.
   

   The following directions of load are available

   no direction of load

   horizontal direction of load

   vertical direction of load

   direction of load on all sides

   direction of load down

   direction of load to the left

   direction of load to the up

   direction of load to the right

   Note: Changing the arrangement of these arrows for Wall, Beam Mark has no effect.

3. Select a shape for the mark’s border.
   

   The following shapes are available:

   rectangular

   oval

   round

   octagonal

   In the case of and you can enter a number between 1 and 9 to define a constant size. If you enter 0, the size changes dynamically with the text.

4. Use the following parameters to assist you:
   • Plus Text to add text that will appear with the mark text.
   • Leader to add a leader.
5. When you have made all the necessary settings, click the mark whose shape you want to change.
6. If you selected thePlus Text or Leader parameters, you can make the relevant changes for the mark to be modified.
