Record Movie - Sun Study

Tool(s): Record Movie

Using Sun Study (How), you study the effect of sunlight on a building over a period of time. Instead of letting the camera wander, you set a fixed view and let the sun wander.

Tip: You should switch off any light illuminating the model from the outside. These are the light sources you defined with Set Project Light. Switch on the lights inside the building. The lights in your house will be ‘on’ should the sun study extend into the night.

Note: Do not place bitmaps in HDR format that include information on the sun in the background of sun studies. Use Color or Physical sky instead.

Important!
If you want the model to cast shadows in conjunction with the Animation calculation method, make sure you have selected a shadow type in the Settings for the Animation view type. If the shadow type is OFF, the model will not cast any shadows.
