Slab

Task area Components

You can use this tool to draw slabs and slab-shaped architectural elements.

To create a slab

1. Click Slab (How).
   

   Activate Slab in one of the following ways

   • Actionbar:Role Architecture Task Elements Task area Components

   • Menu bar: Create Architecture Basic: Walls, Openings, Components

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Basic: Walls, Openings, Components

2. If you want, you can now modify the slab's parameters.
   The context toolbar provides several options.
   

   • Click Properties to set the parameters in a dialog box.
   • Click Match properties to copy the settings from an existing element.
   • Click Load favorite to select saved parameter combinations.
3. Click OK to confirm.
4. Enter the outline of the slab using the polyline entry tools.

Tip: You can change the slab's bearing length on the fly. Place the first point for the slab and enter the bearing length. You can do this for each point you place while entering the outline.
