Layout Border

You can use this tool to set the size and properties for the layout border of a layout or layout section. After having defined its properties, you place the layout border.
If you have logged in as the administrator or as a user with administrator privileges, you can define new formats and new display parameters for layout borders.
To define and place a layout border
- Click
Layout Border (How). - Define the parameters for the layout border in the palette.
- The
Predefined layout border is preset in the input options. If this is not so, select this border, define the
Drop-in point for the layout border and the Format and place the predefined layout border in the workspace.As an alternative, select one of the following settings in the input options and create a custom layout border:
Based on diagonal line
Based on base line
Based on center line
Notes:
- The
System Angle is taken into account when you position the layout border. - To delete a border, click
Delete and select the border as an by clicking the exterior boundary line with the middle and then left mouse button. Alternatively, press and hold down the SHIFT key. - Using the
Set Up Page tool, you can select a layout border as a fixed property of the page. This border matches the size of the page and automatically updates to reflect any changes you make.
