Using drawing types

• When you are working with Workgroup Manager in a network environment, you must be logged in as administrator. Otherwise, you cannot make any settings.
  

  Workgroup manager is a program that handles the organization of CAD workstations on local networks. Workgroup manager makes sure that all projects on all computers can be accessed from all workstations. With workgroup manager, several users can access the same project at the same time, which ensures data consistency.

To create new drawing types

1. Open the Define, manage line styles, area styles, drawing types dialog box.

   How to access the dialog box

   • Click Defaults (How) and select Line styles, area styles, drawing types.
     

     Activate Defaults in one of the following ways

     • Menu bar: Tools

     • Title bar: Quick Access Toolbar Defaults

     Or:

     Click Select, Set Layers(How), select the Format Definition tab and click Manage line styles, area styles, drawing types.

     

     Activate Select, Set Layers in one of the following ways

     • Menu bar: Format

     • Keyboard: Ctrl+4

     • Title bar: Quick Access Toolbar View

   Note: The You are modifying the line styles in the office folder message indicates that you are about to change the settings of the office standard.

2. Enable the Show definition of drawing type setting.

   The existing drawing types are displayed.

3. Click a drawing type with the right mouse button and, on the shortcut menu, select New drawing type.

   Or:

   Click at the bottom of the dialog box.

4. Enter a name for the drawing type and make settings for the pen, line and color.
