Basic polyline entry rules
Polyline entry tools
- Entering two points and selecting the Esc key creates a rectangle.
- Polylines that must be closed (for example, for hatching) close automatically when you select the Esc key or click the first point again.
- When you click an element, you can either define a point on the element or choose to use the entire element or parts thereof as the outline.
- In the Input Options, you can control how the polyline entry tools behave.
- You can create areas composed of any number of areas by clicking
Multi in the Input Options. By using
Plus and
Minus, you can then define whether you want to add the area to the overall area or subtract the area from the overall area. - To quickly select closed outlines, you can use
Area detection in the input options for entering polylines. Select
Island detection if you want the program to automatically detect and cut out closed outlines within an area.
