Using line types

You can use this tool to define the line type.

Note: If the Properties palette shows the From layer property, the line type will be taken from the layer and cannot be changed. See Using the ‘From layer’ format property.

To change the line type

• Go to the Format QuickSelect toolbar and click one of the icons representing line types 1 to 4 to select a line type. You can choose the four line types that are presented on this toolbar using Defaults - Line Types + Format QuickSelect.
• Go to the Properties palette, click the Line type dropdown list and select the line type you want to use. You can choose the line types that are presented in this list using Defaults - Line Types + Format QuickSelect.
• Open the Format menu, click Select Line Type and select the Line type you want to use in the list box or enter a new value, thus defining a new line type. You can choose the line types that are presented in this list using Defaults - Line Types + Format QuickSelect.
