Transferring measured values to the dialog line

Tool(s): Measure

Values you measure with the measure tool can be transferred straight to the dialog line.

To transfer measured values

1. After you have activated a tool that expects you to enter a value (e.g. the length of a line), click Measure (How).
   

   Activate Measure in one of the following ways

   • Actionbar:Task area Measure

   • Menu bar: Tools

   • Keyboard: CTRL+ALT+M

   • Toolbar: Default
2. Measure an element (a line, for example).
3. Click the value you want to use in the Measured values dialog box.

   Important! The values calculated by the measure tool may be rounded-off. This can cause significant inaccuracies when you use this value as the basis for further calculations.
