Architectural elements, parameters

Tools: All architectural elements

Whenever you create an architectural element, you can change its parameters by clicking Properties.

You can change the settings in the dialog box before you create or while you are creating the component. Previews show the input options you have. In the Preview, you can display architectural elements in the standard views or in views of the Wireframe, Hidden or Animation type.

The parameters you can assign vary from element to element. A ceiling, for instance, can be assigned a thickness whereas a room cannot.

Note: The parameters can be saved as a favorite file and read back into the dialog box. Thus, you can save the complex settings for a wall consisting of multiple construction layers and retrieve (and, if you want, modify them) whenever you need.
