Allplan Share

With the Allplan Share option, you can edit native Allplan project data in the cloud. You use the BIM platform Bimplus to save and manage Allplan project data.

The team owner can purchase the Allplan Share option in the Allplan Shop. Any user who wants to open an Allplan Share project must have the Allplan Share option, which is assigned to the user by the Bimplus team owner or team administrator.

Allplan Share projects can also be opened and edited from a standalone Allplan seat, provided the user has at least the role of Project editor in the Bimplus project and the user has been assigned the Allplan Share option by the team owner or team administrator.

Requirements for using Allplan Share:

System requirements (Internet connection)

• Minimum requirements: 20 Mbit/s for uploading and downloading data; a latency of not more than 50 milliseconds
• Recommended setup: At least 50 Mbit/s for uploading and downloading data; a latency of not more than 15 milliseconds

Further requirements

• You have a Bimplus account.
• You have the Allplan Share option.

• You are a Bimplus team owner or team administrator (for creating Allplan Share projects)

Creating new Allplan projects on Allplan Share

You can create new Allplan projects directly on Allplan Share. To do this, select BIMPLUS when you create the project and you are prompted to specify where to save the project. This links the Allplan project with the Bimplus project.

To create a project on Allplan Share

1. Start Allplan and log in to Bimplus.

   

2. Click New Project, Open Project... (How) and then New project.
   

   Activate New Project, Open Project in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: File

   • Keyboard: CTRL+SHIFT+O

   • Title bar: Quick Access Toolbar
3. Click Browse and select BIMPLUS.

   

4. Select the Bimplus team in the Team area.
5. Enter the name of the Allplan model in the Bimplus model name area.
6. Click Finish.
7. If you want to invite more members to this project, switch to Bimplus project administration.

Copying or moving Allplan projects to Allplan Share

You can copy or move Allplan projects to Allplan Share.

To copy or move Allplan projects to Allplan Share

1. Start Allplan and log in to Bimplus.

   

2. Click New Project, Open Project... (How).
3. Open the shortcut menu of the project you want to copy or move and click Copy to or Move to.

   

4. Select BIMPLUS.

   

5. You can copy or move the Allplan project to an existing Bimplus project or to a new Bimplus project:
   • Copy or move project to an existing Bimplus project: This is only possible if the Bimplus project does not include any project data or model data of another Allplan project. Select the Bimplus team. Then select the Bimplus project in the Project area and enter the name of the model in the Model name area.
   • Copy or move project to a new Bimplus project: Click Create new Bimplus project and select the Bimplus team. Then enter the name of the Bimplus project in the Project name area and the name of the model in the Model name area.
