2D representation tab

Format

Layer: Select the layer on which you want to place the design entities of the SmartPart in 2D. The AR_WIND (for windows) and AR_DOOR (for doors) layers are set by default.

Format from layer: When you select this option, the settings for pen, line type and color will be taken from the selected layer.

Pen for Cutting edges / Pen for Visible edges / Line type / Color: When Format from Layer is not selected, you can choose the pen, line type and color. You can select different pens for intersected edges and visible edges.

Surface elements

By selecting one of the check boxes, you can assign a Hatching style, a Pattern, a Fill or a Style area to the surfaces in 2D.

Opening symbol

Representation: The plan view of the SmartPart includes a symbol indicating the opening direction. You can choose between Arc, Line and Without. Click to switch off the symbol.

Casement - actual depth: When you select this option, the casement/door leaves are displayed at their actual depth in the 2D representation.

Layer: Select the layer on which you want to place the door swing of the SmartPart in 2D. The AR_SWING layer is set by default.

Format from layer: When you select this option, the settings for pen, line type and color will be taken from the selected layer.

Pen / Color: When Format from Layer is not selected, you can choose the pen and color.
Note: You can set the Line type in the 2D opening symbol area of the Elements tab tab.

Opening ratio: By selecting the All equal option, you can apply the value set for Opened by % to all casements or door leaves (provided the window SmartPart or door SmartPart has several casements or door leaves respectively).
Note: If the All equal option is selected, Allplan ignores the opening angles you defined for the 2D opening symbols of casements and door leaves on the Elements tab. If the All equal option is not selected, Allplan uses the opening angles you defined for the casements and door leaves on the Elements tab.

Opened by %: You can specify the opening angle (min. 10°, max. 180°) of the casements or door leaves.

All: Click the Transfer button to apply the opening angle entered for Opened by % to all casements or door leaves of the SmartPart.
Attention!
Clicking Transfer overwrites all opening angles you defined for the casements or door leaves on the Elements tab with the opening angle entered here!

Level of detail rep4

You can define the scale ranges of four predefined 2D views for the SmartPart. You can associate specific scale ranges with specific views. To exclude a view, clear the relevant check box.

Rabbet: Casement, Frame, H rabbet, V rabbet
Choose one of the four rabbet types.

Height as a %: Specify where you want to cut the SmartPart. You can see the clipping line in the animation. The resulting section is visible in plan view.

Casement position closed / open: These options define whether the casements or door leaves are open or closed in 2D.

Note: The ToolTip of the SmartPart always shows the layer set in the Properties palette when you created the SmartPart. This layer includes the instance of the SmartPart. But the elements that make up the SmartPart are on the layers you assigned to them in 2D and 3D.
