Setup Allplan for Developing SmartParts

For developing a SmartParts object in the SmartParts Script editor, you need the tools Modify SmartParts using Script and Create SmartPart (also Convert LIB file and Update SmartPart may be useful).

As a default, the symbols for these tools are not available in a toolbar or palette, but they can be added easily.

To add the symbols to the Create and Change toolbar

1. In Allplan click Tools - Customize.

2. In the Toolbars tab activate Create and Change.

3. In the Customize tab select the category Additional tools with icons.

4. Drag&Drop the Create SmartPart symbol to the Create toolbar and the Modify SmartParts using Script, Convert LIB file and Update SmartPart symbols to the Change toolbar.

   Note: You could add the symbols also to a new toolbar, but if you add them to the Create and Change toolbar you have the additional advantage that they are also displayed in the palette.
