Working with Parameters

Parameters are values which determine the look and behaviour of a SmartParts object. The 3 parameters ref_x, ref_y, ref_z are predefined and always present in each SmartParts object. Each parameter is defined by its unique name, which you can use as variable in your script. Names of parameters must start with a character and may contain only characters, numbers and an underline. The name of a SmartParts Script command may not be used as a parameter name.

Parameters can have one of the following types:

• Bool: Can be either TRUE or FALSE (all values ¹ 0 are considered as TRUE)
• Integer
• Decimal
• String
• Length (always in m)
• Angle (always in degrees)

Furthermore parameters can hold specific properties of an object:

• Color (Integer)
• Pen (Integer)
• Stroke (Integer)
• Layer (Integer)
• Surface (String)
• Pattern (Integer)
• Hatching (Integer)
• Facestyle (Integer)
