Shortcut menu for selecting elements

Depending on the setting in the Options - Desktop environment - Mouse and crosshairs, you can open the shortcut menu for selecting elements using the right mouse button or CTRL plus the right mouse button. The shortcut menu includes the tools you can also find on the Actionbar - Work Environment and Filter task areas or on the Filter Assistant toolbar.

Brackets (edit tools only)

You can use this tool to select several elements by clicking one element after the other (see Using the brackets to select elements). Click Brackets again to finish selecting elements.

Reselect / Undo

Select all (Ctrl+A)

Selects all the elements in the current drawing file and in files open in edit mode (including elements that are not visible such as default reference planes). See also Behavior of default planes when copying or moving elements between documents.

Select same pen

Selects all the elements that are drawn with the same pen as the element for which you open the selection shortcut menu.

Select same line

Selects all the elements that are drawn with the same line as the element for which you open the selection shortcut menu.

Select group (Shift+click)

Selects all the elements that belong to the same entity group as the element for which you open the selection shortcut menu.
