Creating sections in the building structure

To create a section in the building structure

1. Right-click Sections, point to Insert structural level on the shortcut menu and click Section.
2. Select the drawing files in which you want to save sections. Right-click Section, choose Assign drawing files on the shortcut menu and enter the numbers of the relevant drawing files. You can only select drawing files you have not yet used in the building structure.
3. Right-click one of the drawing files assigned and select Generate section.

   The Generate Section palette opens. You can define numerous settings for the section you are creating.

4. When you have finished defining settings in the Generate Section palette, click OK to close the palette.

   Allplan creates the section, naming the drawing file accordingly.

   Note: The source drawing files must include a clipping path. Otherwise, you cannot create a section.
