The Project Settings dialog box displays information on the selected project. You can change settings of this project.
Project info
Project name
Shows the name of the project.
Prepared online
You can configure the program to prepare a project for online use so that you can use an FTP server to access the project. When you select this option, Allplan sets all resources to project-specific and copies the user rights to the project.
Compress data
You can compress the data of projects prepared online. Data compression reduces the file size of these drawing files by up to 90 %, thus considerably speeding up data transfer from and to the FTP server.
Created on
Shows the date the project was created.
Free memory
Shows the amount of free disk space on the computer with the selected project.
Current project size
Shows how much of the space is used by the selected project.
Assign attributes
You can assign values to the project attributes.
Computer name
With Workgroup Manager: Shows the computers where the projects are saved.
Owner
With Workgroup Manager: Shows the owner of the project. The Allplan administrator can change the owner.
Authorized users
With Workgroup Manager: The Allplan administrator (sysadm) can define the users who are entitled to work with this project.
Path settings
Project resources
You can specify whether the project is to access the project resources of the office standard or use project-specific project resources. If you select Project, the program copies the office standard to the project.
Attributes
You can specify whether you want to define and save project-specific attributes or use default attributes of the office standard.
Attribute set definition
You can specify whether you want to use predefined attribute sets in projects. You can choose between None and Bimplus (see "Planning projects using standardized Bimplus attribute sets"). When you select Bimplus, Allplan automatically switches the path settings to project-specific Attributes.
Urban planning symbols
You can set the drawing symbol catalog used in the project.
CAD-TAI project assignment
You can set the path to the Allplan BCM data folder and specify the research projects (element catalogs).
Note: For correct analyses, you must use the element catalogs when you define the materials of architectural elements.
Settings
Offset coordinates
Offsets are required above all to convert supra-regional country coordinates with high numbers into a local system centered on the WCS origin of the workspace. The offset you set is valid for the current project.
Note: During import, the offset value is subtracted; during export, it is added.
Note: If you have data with large coordinates, you can move the data and enter an offset to keep the original coordinates.
Enter the values in the unit of length currently set.
Project angle for rotated plan view
You can enter the angle for the Rotated Plan View. This setting applies to all viewports in the current project (as opposed to
Rotated plan view, which applies only to the current viewport). Click
Match angle from most recent viewport to take the angle from the most recent viewport.
Input, output currency
Specify the currency for the project. The currency set is used for reports that include prices. If you work with Workgroup Manager, the currency can be set only by the system administrator, the project owner or authorized users.
Currency for current project: select the currency you want to use. You can change the currency's label: we recommend using the ISO code utilized in the banking sector.
Euro rate: you can specify the exchange rate between euros and other currencies (up to ten places before the decimal and four places after the decimal).
Euro converter: you can use this calculator to convert any amount from any currency into euros and vice versa. Just select a currency, enter an amount in the data entry box and press ENTER to confirm.
