Convert View to Section

You can use the
Convert View to Section tool to convert a view to a section. For this, you need at least two views seen from two different directions. You define the clipping area by entering section polygons in these views.
To convert a view to a section
- Check that there are at least two views and that each one is viewed from a different direction.
- Click
Convert View to Section (How). - Click the view to be converted to a section.
- You can control how the clipping path and section are displayed by clicking
Show Clipping Path on the Context toolbar and setting the display parameters in the Section dialog box. - Enter a clipping area to define the boundary for the first section line. To do this, click as many points as you want or define the polygon using a selection rectangle.
Enter a section identifier if you have not already done so in the Section dialog box. - In a different section or view, enter another section area to define the second section polygon. To do this, click as many points as you want or define the polygon using a selection rectangle.
Enter a section identifier if you have not already done so in the Section dialog box and if you have defined the first section polygon in the view to be converted. - If necessary, enter an identifier for the section created or confirm the text propopsed by the system and place the label.
