Defining your own path for symbols

Symbols library

Symbols can be saved in user-defined folders. You can define your own paths for symbols in the External path folder of the Symbols library.

To define your own path for symbols

1. Open the Symbols library in one of the following ways:
   • Select the Library palette and open the Symbols folder.
2. Open the External path folder.
3. Click Add path at the bottom of the palette.
4. Enter any name for the path and press ENTER to confirm.
5. Select the destination folder of the path and click Save.

   Tip: Pointing to the path displays a ToolTip with information on the destination folder.

   Note: Before you can save symbols in a new path, you need to create a new symbol folder using New group.

   Note: To remove a path from the External path folder, point to the path, click Modify and then Remove path. This removes the path only from the palette; its contents are retained.
