Notes on catalogs

You can use predefined catalogs from TAI programs (e.g. Allplan_BCM from Nemetschek’s Allplan BCM program) or define catalogs yourself. These catalogs generally have a hierarchical structure and can be assigned additional properties such as wall thickness or building trade. These properties are then automatically transferred to the building elements when you access the catalog at element creation time.

Allplan has 5 empty catalogs (kukat1 to 5) that can be custom designed.

Catalog... Smart Symbol

Click the Catalog button to choose between dropdown menus, user-defined catalogs or manufacturer-specific catalogs when assigning names for smart and tagged symbols.

Tip: To create your own catalogs, use the Define Catalog tool.
