Transferring data from version 2012, 2013 or 2014
When you upgrade from version 2012/2013/2014 to Allplan 2015 or install for the first time (with data transfer), the program automatically converts your private data the first time you open a project. But if you want to import external data from version 2012, 2013 or 2014 to Allplan 2015 (data you got from a design partner, for example), you need to convert it first using the Services application.
The whole process involves three steps:
Importing data to the external pathTo import data to the external path
- Open the Services application, select the File menu and click Restore data to 'D:\Programs\Nemetschek\Allplan\Extern‘.
- Enter the name of the folder with the data.
Converting data to Allplan 2015Now the data is in the external path and you need to convert it to Allplan 2015 format.
To convert data to Allplan 2015 format
- In the Services, click File and then Cnvert data to current version.
- Click OK.
- Enter the name of the folder in with the data from the older version.
Copying data to a project using ProjectPilotThe data converted is in the external path and can be copied to the desired project using ProjectPilot.
To copy data with ProjectPilot
- Start Allplan and click ProjectPilot / Admin on the File menu.
- Set the external path to \Programs\Nemetschek\Allplan\Extern.
The external path must match the entry in the Services application!
