When you import data, each XRef file in the file being imported is transferred onto a separate drawing file. You can specify whether these XRef files are inserted in the current drawing file as a XRef or as a drawing file open in reference mode. When you export data, you can specify whether drawing files open in reference mode are transferred as XRef files.
All options disabled
When all the options are disabled, each XRef file in the document being imported is inserted in the current drawing file as a XRef file.
Distribute (discard 1:1 placement)
When this option is enabled, all the XRef files which are placed one-to-one (i.e. they have not been resized, rotated and they have the same drop-in point) are inserted as drawing files open in edit mode (not as XRef files).
Discard all placements
When this option is enabled, all XRef files are inserted as drawing files open in edit mode, regardless of how they are placed. This may change the appearance as the XRef files can have different drop-in points.
Create fileset with imported documents
When this option is enabled, the program creates a fileset containing the current drawing file and all imported XRef files.
Export drawing file stack as XRef
When this option is enabled, drawing files open in reference mode are exported as XRef files. When this option is disabled, all the drawing files are written to a single file.
