Arrange layers

You can use this to specify how the data is arranged on layers and/or drawing files.

All options disabled

During import: the layers in the import file are arranged on the current drawing file and are assigned the DEFAULT layer.

During export: all the elements are assigned the DEFAULT layer.

Layers

During import: the layers in the import file are arranged on the current drawing file and are assigned different layers.

During export: elements get the same layer as in Allplan.

Documents

During import: the layers in the import file are arranged on different drawing files and are assigned the DEFAULT layer. If the file to be imported contains XRefs, the layers of the XRef file cannot be arranged on different drawing files.
Example

The following schematic overview shows how the layers in the import file are arranged on different drawing files when the Documents option is selected. When importing, layers in XRef files cannot be arranged on several drawing files.

During export: elements get the layer in accordance with the their document/drawing file name and the number set in the Name exported layers based on area.

Both options enabled

During import: the layers in the import file are arranged on different drawing files and are assigned different layers. If the file to be imported contains XRefs, the layers of the XRef file cannot be arranged on different drawing files.

During export: elements get the layer consisting of the drawing file number and their layer in Allplan.
