Explode elements

You can force elements to be resolved into their constituent parts by checking them here.

The check box beside elements that will be resolved into their constituent elements is activated.

Elements are exploded (resolved) according to the following hierarchy:

• Spline -> polygon
• Polygon -> single lines
• Paragraph text > single text lines
• Single texts -> lines
• Point symbol, smart symbol, pattern, dimension line, multiline -> single, discrete elements
• Hatching -> discrete hatching lines
• Solid -> discrete surfaces
• Discrete surfaces- > polygons
• Polygons -> lines

Note: When text is resolved (‘exploded’), single text is drawn by assigning the corresponding font, sometimes with extents. They will no longer exactly reflect their environment. If only the position and not the complex text itself is required, the text can be exploded into single lines and transferred so that the position matches exactly.
