Transfer elements

To exclude elements from conversion, deactivate them. Use the SHIFT key to select a range. Use the CTRL key to select a series of non-adjacent elements. Use CTRL+A to select all elements (except for not-labeled attributes).

Besides self-explanatory elements like, for example, point symbols and lines, you will see filters further down that you can use to exclude elements from being transferred. (These can only be activated together with other filters.)

Labeled/unlabeled attribute

Labeled attributes are visible; unlabeled attributes are not visible. These two options only have an effect on architectural elements if the Export complex components as: Complex objects setting is selected in the Interfaces Settings, Allplan specific tab. When the Merged solids option is selected, attributes are not transferred.

Elements with patterns

You can use this option to filter out pattern lines.

Image

This filter is only available when the destination system is able to process bitmaps.

XRef files

These are Allplan layouts, AutoCAD Xrefs, MicroStation reference files.

Tip: You can exclude the border of XRefs from being transferred by deactivating the Other elements filter.

Degenerated elements

Examples of degenerated elements:

Not printable elements

Allplan includes elements that cannot be printed (e.g. rooms). You can use this filter to exclude these elements from the transfer. This filter only applies in combination with the Transfer elements as 2D setting; otherwise, a warning is written to the log file.

Construction lines

These are construction lines in Allplan, construction lines and similar in AutoCAD, special element class in MicroStation.

Note: The Degenerated elements and Construction lines filters are 'post-operation' filters that are applied to the elements filtered beforehand.

Note: In the assignments, you can configure elements with specific properties to be excluded from the transfer – for example, all red elements.
