Archiving layouts, overview

You can archive layouts in Allplan in two ways. These options are briefly described below.

Archiving as a PDF file

Selection

Using the Export PDF Data tool (How): select the Archiving format PDF/A-1a option in the Export PDF Data dialog box.

Activate Export PDF Data in one of the following ways

• Menu bar: Create Layout

• Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

Layout

Administration

You can enter any name for the PDF files and save them in any folder.

Output of layouts

Using the application associated with the pdf file type.

Archiving using external programs

Requirement

You have installed and configured a document management system.

Selection

Using the Print Layouts (How) or Archiving tool (How), Printer tab, Output mode area, Archiving option.

Activate Archiving in one of the following ways

• Menu bar: Create Layout

• Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

Layout

Activate Print Layouts in one of the following ways

• Menu bar: Create Layout

• Toolbar: Basic Tools Layout flyout
• Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

Administration

In the document management system
