Print preview
You can use the
Export PDF Data tool to save and archive one or more layouts or the elements displayed in the print preview as a PDF file, which you can immediately open using the associated application. Transparency settings and layers from Allplan are taken into account (except when using the PDF/A archiving format).
To save layouts or elements displayed in print preview as a PDF file
- In the Layout module, click
Export PDF Data (How).Or:
Open the
Print Preview and click
Export PDF Data.
- Select the required layouts using the Layout structure or click Cancel to quit the tool.
- Specify the settings in the 'Export PDF Data' dialog box and click OK to confirm.
Notes:
- If you have not selected the Entire layout content option in the Layout module, the size and orientation of the pages in the PDF file are based on the size and orientation of the current page. The elements that are within the printable area of the page are created. The printable area of the output device has no effect.
- When you select this tool in the Layout module, the manner in which the elements are displayed depends on the settings in the
Print Layouts tool. The elements selected for printing, the page format and the print settings specified on the Print profile tab are used.
When you select this tool in the print preview, the
Print Preview Settings are used. - When you have selected several layouts in the Layout module, the file name specified in the PDF file area is used for the layout with the lowest layout number.
The names for the other PDF files are assigned automatically. The settings you have made for Create name of destination file from in the
Options, Import and export page, DXF, DWG, PDF export area are taken into account.- The Use prefix option has the following effect:
With unnamed layouts and the Use prefix option being active, the names of all PDF files are preceded by the prefix Plan, which is followed by the number of the layout. Otherwise, the layout number is used for the file name.
With named layouts and the Layout or drawing file number option being active, the layout name is used as the prefix, which is followed by the number of the layout.
