Properties of online projects

Online projects differ from normal Allplan projects in some points:

• The resources are always managed on a project-specific basis.
• To manage online projects in ProjectPilot, you need to open them using the workgroup server. Online projects you open using the FTP server cannot be managed in ProjectPilot.
• Projects of which the owner is set to sysadm or local or of which the authorized user is set to local cannot be prepared for online use. To prepare such a project for online use, you first need to change the owner and/or remove the local entry from the list of authorized users. If you copy or move this project to the online server, the current Allplan user is entered as the owner.
• Online projects are not listed when you select the Services application - Workgroup Manager - Information - Show list of projects.
• Projects from earlier versions that are to become online projects must be converted to the current version beforehand.
• So that an Allplan user who is not part of the workgroup can access an online project, the Allplan user administration must include the email address and password of this Allplan user.
