Using plot profiles
Using plot profiles
When printing layouts or creating PDF files, you can use a plot profile to give a uniform look-and-feel to your layouts.
To use plot profiles for plotting
- Click
Plot Layouts (How). - Click the Settings tab.
- Select the Use plot profile check box.
- Select the plot profile file you want to use.
Notes:
- The plot profile is saved with the layout and selected automatically the next time the layout is opened. You can temporarily change the settings of the plot profile for a single plot operation.
If you do not print the current layout but any other layout, the existing settings are always used even if the selected layout has been assigned its own plot profile. - When printing in batch mode, the plot profile selected here is only used for the current layout. The same applies to temporary changes. The changes are not saved in the plot profile. Layouts with plot profiles print with their associated plot profile. Layouts without plot profiles print with the global settings.
To use plot profiles for creating PDF files
- In the Plot Layout module, click
Export PDF Data (How).
Or
In the
Print Preview, click
Export PDF Data. - Select the required layouts using the
Layout structure. - In the Export PDF Data dialog box, select the Use plot profile check box.
- Select the plot profile file you want to use.
Note: The plot profile you select here has a higher priority rating than the plot profiles that are saved directly in layouts, and it is used for all the PDF files that are created in batch mode. This setting is saved in the favorite file and can thus be used in conjunction with
Allplan Exchange Layout Distribution.
