Archiving layouts, overview

You can archive layouts in Allplan in two ways. These options are briefly described below.

Archiving as pdf-format files

Selection

You can archive layouts using the Export PDF Data tool (How). All you need to do is activate the Archiving format PDF/A-1a option in the Export PDF Data dialog box.

Activate Export PDF Data in one of the following ways

• Menu bar: Create Plot Layout

• Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

Plot Layout

Administration

You can enter any names for the PDF files and save them in any folder.

Output of layouts

Using the application associated with the pdf file type.

Archiving using external programs

Requirement

You have installed and configured document management system.

Selection

• Use the Plot Layouts (How) tool, Archiving tab, Output archives: File output area.
  

  Activate Plot Layouts in one of the following ways

  • Menu bar: Create Plot Layout

  • Toolbar: Basic Tools Layout flyout
  • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

  Plot Layout

• Use the Archiving (How) tool.
